Home Oxygen Program - Province of PEI
The province of Prince Edward Island has a program in place called the Home Oxygen Program to help patients with the costs of home oxygen therapy.
Under this program, 50% of eligible home oxygen expenses are paid by the government up to a limit of $200 per month.
In order to qualify for this program, you must have a prescription from you doctor for home oxygen, meet certain clinical criteria and be eligible for the PEI Medicare.
There are no monthly submissions to the PEI Home Oxygen Program each month by the patients. Island Respiratory Specialists submits the eligible costs each month, therefore patients only have to take care of their portion of the expenses.
